We are all very excited to see The Bishop Wand Church of England School’s new Humanities Building now well on its way to an Easter completion, slightly ahead of programme.
Once complete this new eye-catching two-storey 2,411sq.ft. steel framed building, wrapped in a timber frame envelope - designed by Hamson Barron Smith - will boast state of the art classrooms and a bright modern dining hall.
Last week decorations swiftly commenced and the servery kitchen is due to be installed next week. External works are due to commence early March to reinstate the playing field to Sports England standard.
MCS has a strong reputation for, and experience of, ‘rescuing’ projects and was swiftly appointed by Surrey County Council to mobilise and construct these facilities for the school following a principal contractor departing from the project at 40% complete in Autumn last year.
