Excellent Performance Again at SuperVettura

MCS is delighted to have been awarded a second “Excellent” rating from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) earlier this week for its work on the new hypercar showroom for SuperVettura.

The award under the CCS follows a detailed inspection of all aspects of our work at the site. It covers our care about the appearance of the site, our respect for the local community, the environmental protection measures we put in place and the value we show to our workforce.

On 30th July 2024 MCS welcomed CCS’s monitor, Derek Nolan, back to site to see all the great work that had taken place since his last visit, in January.  Following his visit, in his report, he said: “The project contact was courteous and cooperative.  The project site management team have demonstrated that they are eager to operate effectively under the CCS principles and guidelines, they were keen to showcase the project processes and took notice of and have acted on, any recommendations offered for future improvement.”

In recognition to the improvements made since the last visit, MCS increased its score and attained 43 out of 45 to secure the ‘Excellent’ award.

Justin Whiteman, Managing Director, MCS, said: “Many congratulations to Rob Medlicott, Oliver Barratt, Peter Greenaway and their team for yet again continuously improving and clearly showing that MCS is considerate to communities, the environment and our workforce.

“The whole team are doing a super job and should feel very proud of what they have achieved.”

Working in collaboration with KB Architects and IWA Services, MCS has demolished the existing old car showroom to make way for a new high-quality environment for the presentation and sale of luxury brand cars; including a whole floor dedicated to showcasing the Swedish hypercar, Koenigsegg, for which SuperVettura is an official UK Dealer.

Once complete the new building will have a two-storey glazed façade to the front elevation and render to the side and rear elevations.  Internally a minimalist, neutral and sustainable material palette has been selected to offer a ‘museum’ like concept upon which to display and showcase the cars with a rotating car lift to greet and attract visitors on arrival into the exclusive space.

The upper storey of the hypercar and supercar showroom will house the ‘Koenigsegg Experience Centre’, showcasing the Koenigsegg model range, both current and historic.

Works are due to be completed in the New Year.
