Contract Award - Winchester Pavilion

We are pleased to announce the award of an exciting new project - the construction of a much-needed new cricket pavilion at North Walls Recreation Ground in the heart of Winchester, Hampshire.

Commissioned by Winchester City Council, and in close collaboration with Rekan Limited and Ridge and Partners, MCS has been appointed to lead the project on a Design & Build basis. This transformative project will see the full demolition of the existing, outdated pavilion, making way for a striking new facility that blends modern architecture with community-focused design.

The new pavilion will feature a bold masonry and Rockpanel clad structure, distinguished by its unique architectural form. It will feature a trussed rafter roof, complemented by a sleek aluminium standing seam covering, and equipped with a cutting-edge security system to ensure the safety and longevity of the facility.

Beyond serving as a key sporting venue, the new pavilion is poised to become a vibrant social hub - enhancing the home of Winchester Cricket Club and providing a welcoming, modern space for the wider community to enjoy.
